One night, Conan O'Brien interviewed Jackie Chan on his late-night show. He asked Jackie if American television had inspired him, to which Jackie replied, "Yes, I learned a lot from America’s Funniest Videos!" Conan laughed, "Really? American Funniest Home Videos influenced you?"
Jackie explained that he enjoys comedy, and he finds everything on that show funny. In fact, one of the scenes in Drunken Master II was directly inspired by the show. He remembered a clip where a child was playing in the tub, and a soap bubble comically came out of the child’s mouth. Jackie thought, "Now that’s funny!" He later used a similar idea in Shanghai Noon for the bathtub scene with Owen Wilson.
